Even Wise Ol' Owls Can Lose Their Wits

Today, moments of happy & luv were found in:

~The finding of a feathered friend along hw20 east north side of the road, Okanagan National Forest, on our way to Omak.

~A morning discovery walk with Lorax, finding a sidewalk lined with lavender still in flower. ~Harvesting lavender and making bundles for my luvs.

~Lorax's afternoon painting session and their paintings of moons, stars, ocean, and me riding a giant wave on a pink surfboard all the way up to touch the moon.

~New baby chicks, and lorax's luv and gentleness with them

~After days of processing a roadkill mama deer who gave us easily nearly a hundred meals worth of food in the freezer, a skinned face mask project, brains, intact skull, and bones, i finally got to work with her hide.

~3 Kittens sitting and watching me work, waiting for scraps of flesh and fat.

~Alter making.

~The smell of pemmican making, melon candy drying, and choke cherries cooking.

~Salting her hide and myself alone under the waxing moon, turning the work into ritual and ceremony. And tears.

~Revisiting my learnings, again, of how a heart full of luv and happy can be a choice.

~Feeling sharp and edgy, almost letting my self fall into that hole, and then remembering to remember all the luv and happy found in this day.

~Singing and reading to lorax at days end, them falling asleep on my belly. Their breath in my ear.

~Sitting and meditating with found feather friend. Finding good guidance and strong heart medicine there.

~Falling asleep to the yip of coyotes, cuddled next to the most grounding life and adventure partner a gal like me can have.
