Moon Blossoms

IMG_9705.JPG

The Moon Blossoms friend circle offers a slow and gentle paced rhythm for babes aged birth to 3,

with times of integrated play and learning alongside the Moon Flowers and Moon Beams.

Our focus for this age group is given to supporting the development of secure attachment styles

and providing abundant opportunities for exploratory play and learning. Babes get developmentally appropriate  nurturance, emotional attunement, and encouragement as they grow through these very delicate first three years of life. Throughout their day they are invited to engage with sensory experiences, explore rhythm and musical play, practice their fine and gross motor skills, nap, cuddle, and be well nourished in both body and heart.

Our adventurous friend circle for witchlets ages 3-5,

with times of integrated play alongside the Moon Beams and Moon Blossoms.

The focus for this age group is on offering an abundance of opportunities that help kiddos develop their sense of self, alongside their sense of belonging, stewardship, and community.

Our daily rhythm offers kitchen, garden & hearth arts, sensory and aesthetic art, board games, music circles and access to musical instruments, ritual, practical life skills, risky play, developmentally appropriate toy and book curations, Portland Town Field Studies, and plenty of free range indoor and outdoor free play.

Our Moon Beams circle offers kiddos aged 6-9 all the same opportunities as our Moon Flowers, but with increased independence and the room to practice the responsibilities that come with having more autonomy and room to grow. They are offered integrated play alongside the Moon Blossoms and Moon Flowers, invitations to support the group in activities and to work alongside our lead teachers, as well as lots of practice in understanding their role as teachers in our intimate community setting.
