Today we were dealing with poor air quality in Portland due to the close by Eagle Creek forest fires, so we decided to take our adventures indoors for the day. We hopped on the Max and Portland Street Car to get ourselves to PDX Playdate, and on the way our group talked about the fires, our feelings about them, and how it feels to not be able to play outside. The group was concerned about the animals, especially the deer, but concluded that the animals would know just what to do to get to safety.
On our short walk from the street car to PDX Playdate, we stopped to peek into a window and were able to watch a rehearsal dance performance, and got lots of waves and smiles from the dancers!
Once at our destination, it was all play, all day. Stopping only for body, food, and water breaks. On the Max ride back to meet our parents, there were lots of "I love you", sleepy yawns, and cuddles.
Thanks for another day of great play and adventure today friends!
