Today, Portland air quality improved greatly and we were excited to be able to return to our outdoor adventures. To celebrate, we hopped on the Trimet and headed out to Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden.

We spent the day connecting our hearts with the trees, plants, bodies of water, and animal creatures in the garden, giving them all of our love and prayers for health and resiliency.

There was tree climbing, duck play, acorn gathering, feather finding, trail running, hide and seek, water splashing, and other curious play. We even found a few mushroom blooms under and around the old grandmother oak tree. There was a brief moment of sadness and curiosity as we came across a dead and decomposing mouse on the trail. We offered our blessings to them, and adventured on.

As our day was coming to a close, we decided to make an alter to give thanks for the beauty, fun, and play we were blessed to have this day. I was moved by the alter the group made, and their desire to offer all of their nature treasures they had collected throughout the day to the tree ancestors, even their highly coveted acorns which were the source of some brief conflict earlier in the day. What a blessing it was for me to witness them in their offering of something so special, and to see the expressions of heart they collectively made.

Thanks friends, see you all on Monday!

xo, Miz Flow
