Today we started our day with live music time from The Pointed Man Band at Know Thy Food Cooperative. We had a fun time dancing, pretending to be fireflies, stomping, and more.

After music time we headed across the street to Brooklyn Park for an afternoon of play. At the park we met some friends who were having a play date with their ferret pets. They were so sharing and let our group hang out and play with their ferret friends until the kiddos decided it was time to move on. The group found a lot of joy in the curious and playful nature of these creatures, and their mischievous attempts at crawling inside of our backpacks.

After park and playground play we took a neighborhood walk, just to see what we could see. On our walk we found flowers to investigate, soil to dig in, acorns to harvest, grapes to eat, new friends to meet, trees to climb, and walls to scale. It was an absolutely enchanting early fall afternoon, and I was thankful to be spending it with creatures as adventurous and enthusiastic about exploring our world as these kiddos.

Blessed be we.

Enjoy our photo journal of the day!
