Hey friends!

Today was a very busy and full day here at the Moon's Nest. We spent the day investigating, harvesting, and taking inventory of the fruit trees in our neighborhood.

We were blessed to have and abundant autumn harvest of figs, pears, and apples. We selected the persimmon tree we will be harvesting from this year, and took some time to sit with them and steward the production of the yummy persimmons that we will be harvesting in a few weeks. We even found a few ripe strawberries.

While waling the neighborhood we took lots of opportunities to stop, explore, talk to neighbors, and play. We happened upon so much unplanned adventure today, and connected with so many friends from the neighborhood.

After collecting and harvesting all we could carry and offering our blessings for the seasonal abundance, we headed back to the hearth for processing and more cozy play.

We learned how to prepare and dehydrate figs using a dehydrator and made some yummy fig jam. We also learned how to make fruit infused cordials. Lastly in our hearth arts session for the day, we made some amazing fruit compote with all the remaining fruit harvest.

Enjoy our photo journal of the day!
