Today we adventured down to Sellwood River Park to observe and investigate one of our favorite urban river spots in it's autumn cycle.
The river and surrounding natural area has such a profoundly different character from season to season, and we welcomed the quiet and solitude we found here this day.
We sat for bird watching and were blessed to see quite a few predator birds our hunting, as well as observed some active pond life.
After lunch I sat on a bench to do some plant meditations while Lorax ran around through the forest and on the trails. The sound of their solitary voice in play wth their surroundings helped me to remember to sit with the beauty of the moments we are gifted, however rare, as ease and beauty are not guaranteed to us.
We took some more slow time to just sit and play, using the autumn leaves and twigs as a prop in building up or story.
It was a very special one on one day for Lorax and I, and I feel profoundly blessed to continue to be able to offer and share these experiences with them.
Enjoy our photo journal of the day <3
