Winter Witch blessed us with another snow day here in Portland Town today, so we suspended our usual Wednesday flow in favor of snow play and sledding.
We boarded Trimet with our sleds and made our way to Woodstock park; a hot spot for chilly snow day play. Once there, Lorax and Lucio jumped right into the streaming chaos of screaming and sledding kiddos racing down the hill. I watched as they swooshed down and climbed back up for over an hour, navigating the coming and going of other sledders.
Sibyl and Mabel soon caught up with us and our friend circle spent the rest of the morning snowballing, tracking, story playing, and immersing ourselves in this last gift of Winter's sparkle.
We took a break from the snow and ice for a hot lunch and dinosaur play up on Woodstock Blvd.
After lunch we headed back to playschool for some afternoon play in the playschool yard and meadow, which had held its snow through the sunny day.
We shared hot cocoa breaks and warm treats, and all were happy.
Enjoy our memories of the day <3
