Hello playschool friends!!
I enjoyed my first day home today, after returning late last eve from my annual spring travels north. Home and friends were some welcome medicine for my homesick~ bruised~up heart and tired ol' bones.
I invited us to start the day with music since I had about a thousand songs rolling up outta my heart and into my head, and we lounged around exploring music together for most of the morning. Elliot and Cora got lost in the shakers, drums, and singing. And I gave a super special invitation to Lorax and Violet to join me in my office and practice on our stringed instruments. Lorax seems to favor the guitar while Violet is starting to develop some familiarity with the uke. I noticed that Violet musta been watching me in my own uke practice after seeing them pluck the uke like a banjo. Now starts the search for a Banjolele to add to our music studio! After deciding that my banjo case needed stickered up, we geared up and headed outside for some play.
In the tiny house the group noticed that a spider had caught a wasp in its web, and all sat very still, watching for minutes on end as the spider and the wasp battled it out. Until, as last the spider won their meal.
We enjoyed some lunch, followed by some play in the heavy, heavy rain showers outside. After singing the babes to sleep, Lorax, Violet and I made some art, worked on some puzzles, and found a way to turn our cozy parlor chair into a trampoline.
Thanks for such a cozy and welcoming homecoming friends!
Enjoy the peek into our magic of the day <3
