Hey there playschool folks, happy Friday!

Today we started our day with some hearth arts, and got some time to practice our measuring, mixing, and collaboration skills sets. Making sure that every set of hands gets a chance to add, stir, and pour requires a lot of negotiating! After about an hour of prep, our muffins were ready to go in the oven.

Hooz in a hurry 'round here anyhow?

The coffee is hot, the music is good, and the I couldn't have sillier hearth mates to share the day with.

After setting our muffins to bake, we decided we wanted to make our own music for a bit. I led a piano lesson, then sat back with my banjo to practice while the rest of the group made silly music, danced about, got lost in their own musical play for a bit. After a while I noticed the play had transitioned from making music to climbing on the piano in an effort to play the keys by feet, so we moved our play outside fer the rest of the day.

Outside the group really enjoyed the bubble wrap I set out. The intention behind putting it out was that I had thought that they might have some fun sensory play, and perhaps use their bare feet to walk and jump on it, but they had other ideas.

Like riding bikes on it.

The rest of the day passed quickly and we got to enjoy our muffins, climbing trees, playing silly games, practicing our spanish, chalk art, negotiating conflicts and kid politics, story circle, and hanging out and chatting.

At the end of the day we shared our goodbye circle, wished each other happiness, and ended our week together with happy hearts, and dirty hands, faces, and feet. We must be doin' thangs right.

Then, when mine were the only feet left on the land, got to spend a lovely late afternoon and evening walking the gardens and sharing time with the flowers. All the berries be comin' on, and it's looking like we'll be having some great garden foraging, medicine making, and processing projects here in just a few.

Thanks a bunch fer sharing another playful week with me and following all the happenings here at the Moon's Nest!

...and because y'all have been asking fer me to include a soundtrack list...it was an Amber Digby kinda day. I'll tryta keep on it. Now you can help me in the work of sharing The Music with these kiddos by playing these musicians and tunes at home.

Enjoy our photo and video journals of our day. There are some really precious dancing moments in the short vids...Elliot and Cora just bout made my heart burst with their honky tonkin' moves, and I caught just the tail end of a shakin' kitchen dance party we shared <3
