Yo.

Today we scrapped our plans and took an extra special trip to Sellwood Riverfront park visit with the Willamette. We heard it was flooded so we wandered down to see what that was all about. We had a blissful day exploring the flooded banks, sunbathing, watching the blue skies, and meeting new friends.

We had a tense few moments as lorax and liam navigated their way through a very intense conflict over who got to play with the "surf board". One of the thangs I enjoy most about our Tuesdays, is that I keep a much smaller ratio. This allows us to let these kinds of conflicts really play out without the pressure of the bigger group, and these two kiddos get a lot of practice with interpersonal skills and one on one emotional literacy. It really feels special to be a part of their process and offer my suggestions for how they might werk through it.

After we had our fill of sun and water play, we stopped at the market fer some body nourishment and cold drinks. While we picnicked a flock of "wild chickens" wandered our way to investigate the edibility of our food. They decided that our celery and carrots were definitely not, but that the peach pits were.

Okay, enjoy the photo and vid memories of the day <3
