Yo playschool folk.

Today we enjoyed a blissful day of play and learning.

Elliot and Cora thoroughly enjoyed building towers and navigating the toddler politics of when and when not to knock them down. I got lotz of help hanging the laundry, harvesting and eating fresh strawberries, flower pressing, checking on all the fruit trees and berry bushes. Heck, I even got help with the dishes.

Everyone was so excited fer our first ripe strawberries of the season. We've been watching fer weeks as they flowered and then started developing the hard green berries, and its been sooooo hard to be patient and let them ripen with the sun. But, the wait was endured with love and care and today we finally got to harvest our first basket full. And I say that the only thing better than enjoying first of the season fresh picked strawberries myself is watching as little hands harvest them and their excitement of getting to sit together and eat them. The full cycle right before my eyes and straight to my heart. I Give Thanks.

We got to practice on our no talent show bit, and y'all get to take a peek at what we have in mind in the vid journal of the day. The musical joy these kiddos create is such good medicine. In our last hour together I got a request to pull out the ol' croc head and tell the tale about my swamp adventures and how I came to find myself in possession of a crocodile anyhow. Some of 'em be catching on to how the story changes slightly every time I tell it, and they be callin' me on it. Tall tales be magic and they still sit wide eyed and wonder full every time, hanging on every word even though they've heard it a hundred times er more. Tell it again, they ask, and I do. Now they tell it to each other, "Did you know Miz Flow almost got eaten by a crocodile?!" It's fun to hear them tell the tale and how they remember it too. I'm thinkin' I'll be recording the theatrical telling of this tale and including it on an album I'm werkin' on fer these kiddos.

Okay, enjoy the memories of our day <3

xo, Miz Flow
