Friday Sept. 28, 2018

We shared our first Friday of the year, and oh what a gloriously playful day it was!

We started the day with an in depth study of a opossum creature that Lorax n I had found that morning on the way to our morning fig harvest. We all felt a bit sad to meet this creature as roadkill, but were excited to learn all about how they feel, how they smell, what kind of tracks they make, and what they look like up close. We thoroughly investigated this creature, both inside and out, and learned a bunch about opossum anatomy.

Our fall field study took us on a bus ride to one of our favorite neighborhood playgrounds, where we played and ran our hearts out. Lila remembered all about the Cottonwoods that live there, and helped me collect sensory teaching materials. Baby Z was thrilled to be part of the big kids group, and did their very best to keep up. Violet became a dedicated friend to Baby Z, n' was super excited to help them climb up n' around on the slides. SO ADORABLE!

Back at playschool we had a tun-o-fun with sun magic, and Baby Z straight tried to eat rainbows. Lots of free play, making stories, cuddles, n picnicking was the story fer the rest of the day.

Finally, we ended our day together stoopin', making music, and ritualizing. Lorax played the most purdy tunes fer Baby Z, n' Mabel decided joined in too.

Okee, enjoy the memories of our day!
