Friday October 5th, 2018

We started our day with morning ritual circle, sharing our feelings, welcoming and investigating fire, and challenging ourselves to remember the names and uses of the fall tide foods and plants I had set out on the ritual blanket.

After morning ritual and getting our fill of fresh figs from my morning harvest, I set them loose for free play and they passed the rest of the morning deep in play and stories. They quickly noticed all the new doctor supplies to tinker with and got to work delivering babies, fixing bodies, and giving shots to the stuffed luvies. Mabel found some time to practice the piano and shared some very lovely tunes with us. The group migrated outside and had some more fun story play in the back of the big ol' truck that has been temporarily parked in the driveway this week. Today, the truck was turned into a pirate ship, and a big storm was generated. Luckily the sharks were chased away by the dolphins.

About that time I called them in fer Hearth Arts and we got some more practice in making our very own fresh, hand made tortillas for our lunch tacos.

After feasting on tacos and washing up our lunch dishes together, we geared up and packed up for our rainy afternoon adventures. We were all very excited to find all the puddles. We also grabbed some baskets so we could do some more acorn and apple foraging. And blessed we are, we found all those thangs on our walk to the bus stop.

By time we made it to the library it was raining hard and we were all thankful to pass the rainiest part of the day away cozy and warm in the library.

After getting our fill of reading time and play at the library, we headed back outside and were thankful that the rain had mostly stopped, giving us a lazy and playful journey back towards our playschool. We found even more apples and filled our bellies with them while we walked and talked and explored Fall in our neighborhood.

We made it back to playschool with just enough time for a closing gratitude ritual with candles and hot coca, and lots of giggles. So many things we all had to give thanks to today, and my heart was made happy in just witnessing their gratitude.

Okee, enjoy these memories from our day <3
