We started our day with fire ceremony and sharing our feelings and welcoming our day together with a song, then set about our morning work/ play/ learning of spell casting with fire spirits. All the thangs they cast spells fer today...so many great spells! Sibyl's was one of the most memorable:
May I have a unicorn to ride.
Fer these witchlets, it still be a fine lie between spell casting and wishing. Hey, they still be witchlets in training, so i let 'em be.
And since we began our day with fire, fer our Hearth Arts today we took some time to learn about cooking over over fire and I seeing just how much more complex of a relationship these witchlets are developing with this element. In these moments, my pedagogy and practice gets some good affirmation about input, output, and my efficacy as a teacher of magical practices. And I Give Thanks.
Afternoon play: learnin' bout processing roadkill skunk n raccoon, n' makin' fresh apple juice from my apple harvest earlier this week, shape shifting into beavers and tasting trees, harvesting apples n' black walnuts on our foraging walk, and a very special sit spot session in which we got to see our frendz squirrel, crow, cat, and grasshopper!
Okee, enjoy these memories from our day today <3
